Author Guidelines
1. The topic must relate to career and technical education or improving the practice of teaching.
2. Topics must be useful to readers in career and technical education and/or in the general profession of teaching.
3. The content of the manuscript must be accurate.
4. The submitted manuscript must be in Microsoft Word format.
5. All text will be Times New Roman font and 12 point type.
6. All text will be single spaced.
7. The manuscript must be between 1000-5000 words. Use the word count feature in the lower left corner of Microsoft Word to confirm the word count complies.
8. Pictures, tables, and charts must be embedded in the body of the manuscript and not appended at the end. Text wrap should not be used. All pictures, tables, and charts must be clearly identified and coordinate with an in-text numbering sequence (i.e. Figure 1). Pictures must be in JPEG format and less than 100 KB in size each.
9. A title less than 75 characters including spaces should be centered on the top of the page
10. A one paragraph abstract or introduction is required below the title, which summarizes the most important elements of the manuscript.
11. A literature review with references should follow the abstract or introduction.
12. References used in the manuscript should be within the past 10 years with preference going toward references from the past five years.
13. References should be from reputable sources (i.e. professional journal articles).
14. Secondary sources should be avoided in the manuscript. Find the original source and reference it. If you can’t find the original source, do not use it.
15. Follow the current edition of APA for all references and formatting unless otherwise specified on this page.
